My name is peiwen liang, and my English name is adam. I am 20 years old, and I am a sophomore studying in UOP. I come from Beijing, the capital of China. I came to the United States to study since high school. Most of the time I lived with my American family. They were very friendly to me. My major is graphic design, but I may change to studio art next year. The reason why I choose to study art is that I love art and design since I was a child, and my dream is to be a designer. When I was in middle school, I helped my father's products a lot. Sometimes I would draw my father's products and show them to him. He always said he liked them very much, but now it seems that most of the products I designed could not be successfully realized. But my father's praise gave me a lot of information to continue my study and strive to realize my designer dream in the future. At present, I don't have any internship experience, and I am still putting out resumes. But I have a patent for my own invention, and I hope I can work in a studio in Hollywood. I like dogs most. My parents raised a side shepherd in China. she is 3 years old this year.

In my opinion, the expression of emotion is the most important thing about art/design. I think a good work or design is actually a word or an idea that a designer wants to express. An empty, emotionless work is mediocre and boring. I think in art and design, identification and empathy with designers make me tick. I like this feeling very much. I can't feel lonely, nor do I want to socialize in a mixed crowd. I prefer to find a designer who can resonate with me in the art world, so that I can have a sense of belonging in my inner world. I don't think material satisfaction lasts as long as psychological satisfaction, so I am willing to do the rest of my life.
